Spring and Ball Plungers

Ball and spring plungers (also known as “spring loaded devices”) at their very basic, are indexing and positioning devices that allow for quick and reliable alignment between various objects, while allowing for quick disengagement. Their enclosed bodies ensure that the spring and nose stay in place, thereby ensuring consistent and reliable pressure application. Ball and spring plungers are utilized across of wide variety of industries and products, including woodworking, medical and military applications.

Our plunger bodies come manufactured from the highest quality steel, brass, and stainless steel for added corrosion protection. Steel, stainless steel, and nylon noses come standard on many models, with the option of brass on select models. Nylon noses allow for continued use with softer metals without fear of aesthetic damage. Ball and standard nose ends are offered to accommodate a variety application settings and side load movement.

All non-press fit models come with either a slotted or hexagonal head. For thread locking a nylon locking element is available for the external threading on non-press fit models. The nylon patch secures the plunger in place without the need for additional support. For more sensitive situations where external threading would be too damaging, press fit plungers provide the solution. Press fit plungers are designed to slide into un-threaded holes and come with or without a flange to stop the plunger.
